Virgin Casino Monopoly Plus Online Promo
Virgin Casino Monopoly Plus Online Promo By: Joe Valentino, Thursday July 5th 20120 Comments   Email   PrintThe latest promotion at Virgin Casino says, “Celebrate all things English by winning a luxury stay in the heart of London’s Mayfair, with our all new Monopoly Plus Promotion!” Monopoly Plus is the latest WagerWorks slot game to go live at Virgin Casino. In this exciting game players unlock higher levels as they wager. As they unlock a higher level in the Monopoly Plus slot game they will be entered for the higher level of the prize draw. The action has already started on June 28. But Virgin Casino is offering ample time for players to unlock the highest level and enter the draw for the Mayfair holiday. The last date of the promotion is August 27. Entry into the promotion is free. All players who wager on Monopoly Plus start at the Entrepreneur Level and will automatically be entered into Draw 1. Those players who advance to the Leader Level during the promotion period will be entered into Draw 2. Similarly, players who advance to Executive Level will qualify for Draw 3. Luminary Level will take players to Draw 4. Baron Level will take players to Draw 5 and Tycoon Level will take players to Draw 6. The biggest advantage of the Monopoly Plus lucky draw promotion is that by advancing to a higher level, players do not lose their claim on the lower level draws. Therefore a player who reaches the Tycoon Level will be entered for all six lucky draws. Players will be entered into each of the draws only once regardless of the number of times they play the Monopoly Plus online slot and the number of times they unlock a particular level. In all 85 Virgin Casino players will win prizes in the Monopoly Plus promotion. There will be only one winner of the top prize at the Tycoon Level. The prize is three nights stay in a luxury suite in Claridges in Mayfair for two people with £2,500 spending money to allow for the very best restaurants and shows to be enjoyed in London. The prize includes first class travel where available within the United Kingdom to London or business class travel from outside the United Kingdom to London up to the value of €2,000. The Baron Level offers a 3D TV package for three winners. The Luminary Level offers iPads for five winners. The Executive Level offers Xbox Kinect for 6 winners. The Leader Level offers £100 Amazon vouchers for 20 winners. The Entrepreneur Level offers iTunes gift cards for 50 winners. Cash alternative may be offered for the prizes. The lucky draws will take place on Wednesday September 5. IGT, the holding company of WagerWorks, will conduct the draws. Virgin Casino is licensed and regulated by the Alderney Gambling Control Commission. Another Football Online Slot From Playtech
Another Football Online Slot From Playtech By: Ryan Alders, Thursday July 5th 20120 Comments   Email   PrintWith the football season over for now one would hardly have expected a football themed slot game. Benchwarmer Football Girls from the software provider Playtech is a football themed slot with a difference. It features five super sexy models in skimpy outfits and carrying brightly colored footballs. They are the benchwarmers. When they appear in winning combinations they model in a number of hot poses. Apart from the benchwarmers, simply crafted high value card symbols also provide line payouts. The Wild logo is the wild symbol. It offers the highest line payout of 10,000 coins when five appear in an active payline. There are two other special symbols in this new Playtech online slot game. One is the Bonus logo. It does not offer any payouts but when it appears simultaneously on reels 1 and 5 the Football Bonus game on the second screen is activated. Five footballs are displayed and the player has to pick three of them. After each pick the corresponding benchwarmer appears and reveals the bonus credits won. This bonus game does not appear during the free spins round. The highlight of Playtech Benchwarmer Football Girls is the free spins round. It is activated when three or more Benchwarmer logos appear anywhere on the reels. Incidentally the Benchwarmer logos also award scatter payouts. The free spins round introduces the innovative Benchwarmer feature. Players have to choose one of the benchwarmer girls. The first reel will be covered with a full length image of the chosen girl. It will be difficult for the players to focus on what is happening elsewhere on the screen. All the other benchwarmer girls will be replaced by the chosen one on the other four reels, thus increasing the likelihood of payouts. The first reel will be held, while the other four reels will spin. Initially the player will be awarded 10 free spins. However, if three or more Benchwarmer logos appear on the reels during the free spins, then 10 more free spins will be awarded. This can continue indefinitely. Playtech Benchwarmer Football Girls is a 30 paylines slot game. The line bet varies from 0.20 credits to 10.00 credits. The maximum total bet per spin works out to 300 credits. The maximum line payout possible is 100,000 credits and the maximum scatter payout possible is 30,000 credits. This makes the slot game ideal for high rollers. Benchwarmer Football Girls incorporates all the latest Playtech features. Players can select up to 99 auto spins. The Auto Spins feature also allows the auto spins to continue until one of the features is triggered, subject to player balance being available. Benchwarmer Football Girls has gone live at the best Playtech online casinos. CasinoAdvisor recommends Casino Tropez. EC Chief Outlines Online Gambling Agenda

July 5th, 2012

EC Chief Outlines Online Gambling Agenda
EC Chief Outlines Online Gambling Agenda By: Joe Valentino, Thursday July 5th 20120 Comments   Email   PrintIt seems that online gambling regulation is back on the active agenda of the European Commission (EC), which is the enforcement arm of the European Union (EU). The EC head, Michel Barnier, stated that the Commission will publish an action plan in autumn this year. The plan will provide details of the proposed actions to stop unregulated online gambling. The action plan will outline measures to clamp down on illegal online gambling websites, including those hosted in offshore havens. The Commission will also propose measures to regulate and supervise licensed online gaming sites. Barnier’s address to the European Parliament last week made it abundantly clear that non-compliant national regulatory regimes were also on the radar of the EC. There are 9 pending infringement procedures with the Commission. 28 new complaints have been filed against the gambling regulation of 12 different Member States. Barnier said that the Commission will reactivate pending infringements and initiate the processing of complaints against Member States whose gambling regulation is in violation of EU policy. The Commission would first contact all the concerned Member States, remind them of the applicable rules and also urge that the violations are rectified in accordance with current EU law. He added, “If blatant infringements persist, I will not hesitate to propose to my colleagues that the appropriate proceedings be taken or re-launched.” The EC has the full backing of the European Parliament, which has adopted a report in November 2011 that calls on the Commission to pursue those infringement proceedings that have been pending since 2008. That report also reminds the Commission that it is a ‘guardian of the Treaties’. Therefore it is incumbent on the EC to act swiftly upon receipt of complaints about violations of the freedoms enshrined in the Treaties. Barnier also touched upon some policy suggestions in his speech. He stressed that the regulatory framework should enable licensed online gambling operators to offer attractive products to their customers. Otherwise the gamblers will wager at the illegal and unregulated sites. Harmonization across Europe was also an important issue because almost 7 million Europeans gamble online. It is essential to develop a common base of principles and measures of protection so that all citizens are protected, wherever they reside and wherever they wager. Barnier repeated pretty much the same thing while addressing a meeting in Gibraltar. This indicates the seriousness with which the EC is now showing on the issue of online gambling. Sigrid Ligne, secretary general of trade association EGBA commented that Barnier’s speech marked a major shift in EU policy, since infringement proceedings were virtually on hold since 2008. Earlier the EGBA had released a document detailing what it expects from the EC.
